Giving Back: Girls Inc. Career Day

Our Stella & Dot Foundation partner Girls Inc. was created to deliver life-changing programs that inspire girls to be strong, smart and bold. Helping them uncover their passions, Girls Inc. strives to connect teens with role models and introduce them to potential career paths. Last week, we were so fortunate to have 15 girls visit our NY Design Office for a career day! We spent our time touring the office and hosting speed mentoriing sessions in Design, Merchandising, Product Development, Quality Control and Public Relations.

At the end of the day, when our Girls Inc. group leader asked if anyone was interested in a career in jewelry, many hands raised in the air, which was such a special moment! Other highlights included a peek in the model maker’s room, learning about the jewelry design process and of course taking home their very own Foundation Bracelet. The girls were THRILLED to learn that a portion of the proceeds from the bracelet go to Girls Inc!
