“Duck Dynasty” Sadie Robertson Meets #NYFW

No camouflage for this Duck Dynasty beauty! The beautiful 16 year old Sadie Robertson made her modeling debut yesterday at New York Fashion Week. The daughter of Reality TV rednecks Willie and Kori Robertson (The Robertson family operates Duck Commander, a company that makes products for duck hunters such as duck calls) walked the runway wearing a black and white polka dot floor-length ball gown, which featured a sheer neckline and sparkly corset top. Designer Sherri Hill teamed up with Sadie Robertson to create an original collection of prom dresses for Spring 2014. The “Sadie Robertson Live Original” collection by Sherri Hill is retro inspired, has “Willie approved” dress lengths and has something for every prom girl.

The idea was inspired by the season 3 “Duck be a lady” and “Dress Shopping” episodes of the A&E show where the teen had trouble finding evening wear that was both modest and stylish. The dress lengths are modest enough for a 14 year old and for her Christian up bringing.

1 Peter 3:3-4 says “Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious” (English Standard Version).
