Recast Alert: “Fifty Shades of Grey” Charlie Hunnam drops out as Christian Grey

E.L. James Will have to return to the casting couch to recast the role of Christian Grey in the movie version of FIFTY SHADES OF GREY. Actor Charlie Hunnam who won the lead role of Christian Grey this past August, has dropped out of the film adaptation of the erotic novel.Charlie was set to play opposite of Dakota Johnson,who is cast to play the role of Anastasia Steele.

Hunnam and the Film Studio Universal Pictures have agreed to part ways, as Hunnams busy TV filming schedule at “Sons of Anarchy” is conflicting with the movies production schedule. Fifty Shades of Grey the movie is set to be released in August 2014.

Rumors are flying around Hollywood,over the possible recast. E.L. James did say in the past that she had wanted Rob Pattinson as her Mr. Grey, E.L.James Reveals she wanted Robert Pattinson as her Christian Grey.

Yet many fans took to social media this weekend to voice there choice on the recast. As so many were disappointed with Hunnam winning the spot over actors Matt Bomer, Ian Somerhalder ,Robert Pattinson, Alexander Skarsgard and Cilian Murphy.
