For parents with children of special needs, it’s sometimes hard to find a place where you can take you kids to play, without the “odd glances” that you may get at the park. We Rock The Spectrum Kid’s Gym is EXACTLY what Miami has needed, a place so unique and special for children to grow, learn and most importantly have fun!
As a mom with a child on the spectrum I know how difficult it can be to find activities that are fun and therapeutic. So when I saw the gym follow me on Instagram, I began to dig into finding out more and how my son and his friends can benefit from this kids gym.
We Rock The Spectrum Kid’s Gym is an all-inclusive gym that allows children of all ability levels to be able to play and grow together, they offer specialized classes, programs and equipment for children with autism. This allows the team to offer fantastic autism support services such as their classes that help to develop social and physical skills, sensory play equipment to help develop sensory skills and finer motor skills. And large play equipment to help develop the larger muscle groups as well as the fun and enjoyment that comes from working in a group and playing together.
The gym will also have The Rock Shop, located in We Rock the Spectrum Miami, offering parents the best selection of hand picked sensory-based toys and puzzles like Melissa & Doug Puzzles and Games, Gluten Free Playdough and Puzzle Piece Jewelry
Here are a few of the details, the WRTS Miami owners Barbi Lopez and Stacy Yurubi are both graduates of Education and work as therapist for special needs kids. A class schedule has not been posted yet but make sure to check in a few days, ther is also space for parties and a quiet room. WRTS will have its Grand Opening on November 29 from 10-5 at the new location 10832 sw 104 ST just across the street from Miami Dade College kendall campus.
