The Wedding Ringer opens in theaters today, parents be forewarned this is not a film for youth under 16. TWR is not a family friendly film, I took my 13 year old son to the screening and was cringing throughout. This bromance is filled with rude and raunchy and inappropriate humor. Doug (Josh Gad voice of Frozen’s Olaf) is the lucrative business man, yet friendless groom to be who hires Jimmy (Kevin Hart) a professional best man for hire, to make him look good at his wedding to fiancée, Gretchen (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting).

Ladies don’t be fooled by the use of ‘wedding’ in the title and expect this “wedding” film to be anything like past films “The Wedding Planner” or “The Wedding Singer”, this film is all misogynistic humor. There are a very few brief moments in the film that are funny and better than I expected like the dance scene pictured above,at a reception. But for the most part ‘Ringer’ is chock full of inappropriate comedy from granny (Cloris Leachman) set on fire to using an animal for sexual pleasure called a ‘Fletcher’.

Rated R | For Crude and Sexual Content, Brief Graphic Nudity, Language Throughout and Some Drug Use
