I’m a fan of A&E‘s wildly popular reality show Duck Dynasty,and love how this family wears their faith on their sleeve, and appreciate their family values. So when this opportunity came to review Kories book about character traits for your children to succeed, I was all in.
This book discusses the importance of good character and recognizing the traits you want to see in your children. All of which, I pray I have began to instill in my own children. While reading Strong & Kind I found many of Kories & Willies experiences relatable to how I raise my boys and how I would like to encourage and build on their character traits. Being on Television hasn’t made the Robertson clan image driven, leading them to a shallow life, but has created depth by building character, tested their faith while building their children’s relationship with God in front of the world.
As a parent raising kids to have faith, to be kind and compassionate I really enjoyed the insight in Strong and Kind, and believe any parent can find value in this book.How different do you think the world would be if we’d strive to be kind rather than rich; to be strong, generous, self-controlled , honest, compassionate , patient, joyful, loyal, and humble. These are unseen character traits of our humanity that directly effect our world In a physical way. You’ll find chapters of each of these in the book. Enjoy!
