Seasoned Grammy Award winning artist Laura Story has released her latest album “Open Hands“. In this album you’ll find Gods peace and presence. Beautifully written and from the heart.
“We have this picture all the way through the Scriptures of all these great leaders in this process of surrendering everything. What the Lord is asking them is not, ‘You need to hold on tighter. You need to manage this better.’ What the Lord asks us is to surrender,” she offers, “It’s about learning to live with open hands, learning to live life in this constant state of saying, ‘Lord, my life is Yours. My time is Yours. My resources are Yours. All of this is Yours. Do what You will.’”
Some of my past favorites have been “O love of God” ” What a Savior” and “Blessings” all from various past albums.
In Open Hands the songs the most resonated with me were “Death was Arrested”which is a hymm that I can now hear being sung at church service.

Open Hands featuring Mac Powell, I loved! Its about surrendering it all to the Lord, which is how I try to live my life, with a posture of open hands and not a clenched fist, an act of worship to surrender it all.

Jesus, I surrender all – every victory and loss
Take it all, take it all ’till all I have is open hands.
Give you faith is about releasing your children into the hands of God, not just showing them faith but living it out daily in our lives. And this is my hope for my children, that they will always seek Him first and have faith in all circumstances as they grow.
