Make A Differance for Autism Golf Event

April is Autism Awareness month, and April 2nd is World Autism Day. So proud of my Husband John for creating and organizing today’s 1st “Make A Difference for Autism Golf Event” a lover of Golf and of course our son Gabriel who is on the Spectrum. John pretty much put this together over night securing a location for the event and some amazing local sponsors donating food and prizes. Your tenacity to get it done, is inspiring! 50 players signed up on the first weekend, selling out your Max players for the event.

It was a beautiful Saturday event filled with joy, new found friendships and friendly competition. The plan is to do this event annually to bring awareness to Autism.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to tomorrow’s Autism Speaks walk in Miami.

A big thank you to Briar Bay Golf Course, The Biltmore for the foursome Golf Passes, Sir Galloway Cleaners for multiple Gift Cards, Brio, Chipotle, Fresh Market, P.F. Changs, BJs Brewhouse, Black Point Marina Ocean Grill, Starbucks, and Whole in the Wall for food and Gift Card Donations, Columbia Spotswear, Landmark Theaters in Merrick Park family 4pass tickets, Dean International Flight Training for a 1 hour of Discovery Flight, a pair of Miami Heat Tickets, Grand Central Publishing for Tiger Woods New Book and 4 gift cards from Planet Golf. And of course all our friends that made donations for the cause.
