13 yr old Sarina Bella 2013 X-Factor Contestant

In the summer of 2011 I had the opportunity to attend the FOX‘s season 1of The X-Factor Live auditions held at the Bank United Center in Miami Florida. My son and I were excited to see the live auditions,and really didn’t know what to expect. The judges for season 1 were Simon Cowell,L A Reid,Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger. They process was a bit lengthy but entertaining. Towards the end of the evening one contestant came out and sang “Listen” by Beyonce, let me just say that the performance was downright AMAZING! I even posted on my Facebook page that I had just seen the next X-Factor winner. That’s right, it was our very own South Florida girl Melanie Amaro, and the Winner of season 1.

When Season 2 rolled around I was looking forward to see who would be the new judges Simon,L.A,Demi Lovato and Britney Spears as well and the new talent. I was not disappointed! This past year had some great talent Carly Rose Sonenclar, Fifth Harmony and winner Tate Stevens. Recently “Extra’s” Mario Lopez caught up with Ne-Yo on the 2013 Grammys red carpet, where the R&B singer dished on possibly joining the next season of the “The X Factor” as a judge.

So now that Season 3 Auditioning opened on Dec 12 2012 for online auditions, many have received the long awaited invite to a Live Audition in one of the 5 cities. One South Florida 13 year old has her eye on the prize. Sarina Bella Arriete of Cutler Bay Florida sent in her online voice audition back in December,she sang one of her favorite artists song “Rolling in the deep” by Adele. I spoke to Sarina last week just after having received her Live Audition email,excited to be flying to L.A in just a few weeks to prep for her live audition in front of the judges on March 6. We spoke of how supportive her family is, so much so that her Grandmother Maria will be taking her to the audition while her parents stay in Miami with her 2 younger brothers. She also speaks in Video 2 on how Bullying made her decide to become home schooled as of the start of 2013. In the first video interview you’ll get a sampling of her voice as she sings Adele for me. I found Sarina to be a beautiful and sweet teenager with loads of talent. We here in Miami especially in Cutler Bay will be rooting for an amazing journey with The X Factor.
