Mr “Sexy Back” is here! Justin Timberlake hosted and was musical guest of last nights Saturday Night Live show with much anticipation. As he is probably My Favorite host. Starting the show with the “Five timers club” skit, bringing back some the original great SNL Hosts. JT joins “Five timers” members Paul Simon, Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, Martin Short (these 3 played alongside each other in The Three Amigos Movie), Alec Baldwin, Tom Hanks and first female “five timer” member Candice Bergman.
Next followed “It’s a Date” Bachelorette gets to choose from a regular guy or 2 paired dates which would be Dan Aykroyd and Steve Martin as 2 wild and crazy guys or JT with Andy Samberg as those 2 Lonely Island guys better remembered for there skit D*** in a Box. Next was his “Veganville” skit which he parodies the “Harlem Shake” as the “Vegan Shake” it was alright not my favorite of the evening.
JT, rapper Jay-Z and the Tenessee Kids performed Suit and Tie and “Mirrors“ from his upcoming album The 20/20 Experience changing a verse in the lyrics to poke fun of Kanye Wests recent comments.
I will have to say that I was disappointed in the Caligula skit and its extreme profanity and really should have been minutes spent on something more musical than Stupid! And I can say the same for the “Romantic Comedy” skit and the “Moet & Chandon” skit. I’m disappointed that SNL has to turn to so many immoral skits to fill the time, calling them “comedic”.
