South Floridians are waking up today the first day of summer with a major case of #HEATFEVER! Which most likely will not subside for a good while. The Miami Heat has won its second back to back NBA Championship against the San Antonio Spurs in game 7 95-88 on Thursday night at the AmericanAirlines Arena. LeBron James played an amazing game, and earned his second NBA Finals MVP award.
Miami Heat fans took to the streets of Miami clanging their pots and pans, waving their flags down the streets in true Miami style. I’m not to sure that double doses of cuban coffee today will get them ready for today’s day of work as the Miami Heat will be the water cooler talk of the day.
I’m LeBron James, from Akron Ohio, from the inner city. I’m not even supposed to be here. Every night I walk into the locker room I see No.6 with James on the back, I’m blessed. So what everybody says about me off the court, don’t matter. I ain’t got no worries.
Wade out did himself with 23 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks. Wade, a 10 year veteran of the Heat Franchise, has struggled with bad knees yet midway through the fourth quarter he skid across the floor in an attempt to save a loose ball I thought for sure he was done for the night!
He should be commended for being out there and doing whatever it takes, putting himself out there for criticism, Coach Erik Spoelstra said It was a selfless effort for two months.
WHEN’S THE MIAMI HEAT PARADE?
Miami Heat and city officials have scheduled a parade to celebrate the basketball team’s second consecutive championship for Monday, beginning at 11 a.m. Like last year, the parade will wrap through downtown Miami, ending up at the AmericanAirlines Arena, where there will be a victory rally to conclude the celebration. Tickets will be required for entry into the arena. The exact route has not yet been announced. More details about the parade will be released later on Friday.
