Disclosure: This is a sponsored post, and I have been compensated for my thoughts on the
collection.

“This is definitely catered to a woman who has a little spending power,”

We know Kimora for bringing urban chic BabyPhat to life, but now designer Kimora Lee Simmons has a new passion for fashion thats all “grown up”. Simmons recently launched her newest ready to wear luxury brand KLS Kimora Lee Simmons, a more business woman fashion line that can truly go from office to cocktail without missing a beat.

KLS is a line dedicated to the clean, sophisticated and tailored woman, but may be out of reach for many (like me on a blogger budget), with prices ranging from $600 to $3500. The pre-fall 2015 collection debuted in December, and is only available for purchase through the website KLS.COM for now until her KLS boutique opens later this spring in Beverly Hills. Like many luxury brands, the luxury is felt in the fabrics like cashmere, leather, double-layered silks mixed with mesh, ponte and jacquards. KLS offers a bit of edge and sex appeal with body hugging silhouettes and bits of skin showing through slits or mesh.

“This is definitely catered to a woman who has a little spending power,” she says. “It’s very classic and it’s my take on what would be basic. Not exactly basic, but updated and upgraded basic.”

The KLS 30 piece collection really is a stunning one for her luxury debut, and i’m sure that it will have the success she strives to have. The key to success in my opinion behind celebrity fashion brands lies in the design, functionality and aesthetics not just a famous name.

“I’m not the same woman now. KLS isn’t catering to a teenage audience or a young party girl. I’m a serious businesswoman.
