Y’all by now know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Hillsong UNITED,right? Well if you’re a fan like me, get excited ’cause Hillsong will be appearing Live on the TODAY show with Kathie Lee and Hoda tomorrow morning April 2 on NBC. Which if I am not mistaken, will be their first appearance on American Broadcast Television.
Hillsong UNITED is best known for their chart-topping songs that include “Hosanna,” “Lead Me To the Cross,” “The Stand,” and “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail).” The RIAA Platinum-selling group has also earned five GMA Dove Awards, including the coveted Artist of the Year and Song of the Year Award in 2014.
So what can we expect to see and hear from the Australian worship band? Topics may include a new album, a film release and maybe the Hillsong Conference coming this fall to New York. No doubt that they will sing (hopefully) their soon to be released song “Touch the sky” (lyrics and audio below) from the soon to be released “EMPIRES” album. This albums release will surely coincide with the upcoming Relativity Films’ “Hillsong – Let Hope Rise” expected in theaters everywhere on May 29.
Meanwhile, the band is comprised of 11 members who are each volunteers or employees of Hillsong Church. It is estimated that over 30 million churchgoers around the world sing Hillsong worship songs on any given Sunday.
