Gods Not Dead  was one of the highest grossing independent faith-based films of 2014. Pure Flix Entertainment which produced the film had announced last fall that a second installment would follow soon after the 2015 spring release of Do You Believe? 

The movie ‘God’s Not Dead’ is about a college freshman Josh Wheaton played by Shane Harper, enrolls in a philosophy class taught by atheist Prof.Radisson played by Kevin Sorbo. The unbelieving Professor first assignment is to get his students to sign God is dead in order to get a passing grade and bypass this part of the course. Wheaton, a christian refuses and is challenged to defend his belief to his classmates to pass the course.

Based on David A.R.White’s social media postings the cast has begun filming in Little Rock Arkansas for the GND sequel. I’m thinking it will be centered around an Alliance Defending Freedom kind of case from the pictures posted. Cast is as follows Melissa Joan Hart, Jesse Metcalfe,Sadie Robertson, David Arquette, Pat Boone, Robin Givens, Hayley Orrantia (The Golbergs), and Ernie Hudson thus far. A date has not been released but I would anticipate a 2016 date.

‘God’s Not Dead’ was directed by Harold Cronk, and stars Sorbo, Harper, David A.R. White, and Dean Cain also featuring the Newboys and Phil Robertson. It was released throughout the United States Friday, March 21 by Pure Flix Entertainment.
