Today it is estimated that 1 out of every 9 people doesn’t have enough food to eat and is chronically hungry. This is an awful statistic. No one should starve. That’s why we’re stepping up to make a difference.
We will be setting a Guinness World Record for this too!
We need to recruit 30,000 volunteers and raise 22¢ for each meal—$1.1 million total—for this MobilePack event. We are trying to fundraise this money through various avenues, and we offer fundraising kits for private schools and organizations, and sponsorship kits for businesses.
Volunteers: This is a wonderful opportunity for students and families in Miami-Dade to volunteer. Schools can even send students as a field trip! Students would also receive community service hours for helping to feed under resourced children locally and globally.
The impact will be felt at home as well. 10% of the money raised will be donated to the Backpack Program that feeds 1,200 under-resourced children weekly in Miami.
Donations: To help us meet our $1.1 million goal, please consider helping fundraise for this major event. We can provide you with $1 no-uniform vouchers, or an educational hunger booklet that teaches the students about hunger by completing 20 tasks, fundraising $1/task. Any donations may be submitted online at fmsc.org/mobilepack or at Notaboutme.miami. We also have posters and collection buckets for businesses to collect for the event.
At the Miami Dade Fair& Expo on Janurary 26-31, our community will partner with Feed My Starving Children through a MobilePack™ event.
